The truth is, girls get a lot of encouragement to break gender career molds when they are young but once they get their first real job, this positive encouragement stops. And if they are in a technical job, it’s even more lonely than other careers. Not only will they not find encouragement, they will also find that they don’t have the same access to advancement opportunities as men.
