Ask any startup founder how easy it is to launch and run a startup. Not many, if any at all, would reply that it is easy. And it’s not just that it’s difficult from a business and technical perspective. It can be emotionally exhausting and take a toll on both your physical and mental health. But there is hope. More and more people and organizations are putting together programs and meetups to help entrepreneurs cope with the burdens of running a startup.
One of those is Sacramento’s own Hacker Lab. Hacker Lab’s Entrepreneur-in-residence Jake Elia recently launched a monthly meetup – Founder Support Group. Jake invites entrepreneurs and founders to join them the first Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Hackerlab Midtown to “share war stories, get advice, and talk about the highs and lows of starting a company with other people who get it.” Don’t face your entrepreneurial battles alone. Now you’ve got a support group who understands the challenges of being a startup founder and can support you along the journey. Swing by for a beer and the much needed support of other founders in these monthly casual meetups.
When: First Thursday of every month from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM
