What is the CLTRE: EveryDay Creative Program?
The CLTRE: EveryDay Creative program is a comprehensive eight-month initiative designed to empower underrepresented entrepreneurs within Sacramento’s creative economy. The program includes a six-week training and a 12-week accelerator in partnership with Creative Startups, offering expert mentorship, tailored training, and networking opportunities with peers and investors. Participants receive customized support to develop their businesses, and a storefront residency is available for selling products, hosting events, and engaging with the community. Upon completion, businesses can receive grants of $3,500-$10,000, with additional investments of $10,000-$25,000 for those demonstrating high potential for scaling. This program provides a unique opportunity to turn creative projects into impactful ventures.
The program is built on the success of a 2023 pilot program and focuses on three core strategies:
- Strengthening and Expanding the Creative Ecosystem: The program aims to build a robust network of creative entrepreneurs within Sacramento over a two-year period.
- Developing a Creative Impact Capital Fund: This fund is designed to support diverse creative entrepreneurs who show strong growth potential.
- Establishing a Sustainable Funding Model: The program seeks to leverage regional and national funding sources to create a sustainable financial model for the creative economy.
Who is Eligible?
This program is designed to support a diverse range of participants within the creative economy. While the program primarily focuses on BIPOC (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) entrepreneurs, it is also open to all and those individuals with in low-to-moderate-wealth communities who live and work within Sacramento city limits.
