AMA Guest: Jon Coss, Founder and CEO

Jon Coss is the founder and CEO of Plum Identity, a GovTech company specializing in behavioral analytics to identify fraud in large government programs. Plum is Jon’s fifth startup; he previously founded Pondera Solutions, another fraud detection company acquired by Thomson Reuters in 2020. Pondera was instrumental in preventing over $60 billion in fraudulent pandemic relief payments. Jon is a nationally recognized expert in government fraud detection algorithms and processes, having consulted with and been interviewed by numerous media outlets, including NBC Today, CBS, ABC, FOX, NPR, the Washington Post, the Los Angeles Times, Bloomberg News, and Politico. He holds an undergraduate degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an MBA from New York University. Jon resides in Granite Bay, CA, and enjoys hiking in the Sierra Nevada mountains and the Mendocino coast in his free time.
