About Our Speaker: Nick Bellizzi

Nick Bellizzi is the Head Grower at Gotham Greens’ Davis California greenhouse where he leads the grow team in growing high-quality lettuce and basil, in a high-tech hydroponic greenhouse. Nick had previously worked with Tanimura and Antle, an innovative grower of both indoor and outdoor-grown vegetables. Nick entered his Agribusiness career with a B.S. in Agriculture from CSU Chico, attended a greenhouse horticulture program at Wageningen in the Netherlands, and is currently studying for his M.B.A. at the University of California Berkeley Haas School of Business.

About The Series: Learn From a Local

Learn from a Local is an on-going speaker series hosted by AgStart, a non-profit organization supporting entrepreneurs advancing innovation in agriculture, food, and health. Typically on the 1st Thursday evening of every month, AgStart hosts a local speaker from the agriculture, food, and health world to speak on a topic relevant to our entrepreneurial ecosystem. Our goal is to offer a space to connect with local individuals and learn from leaders in our local AgriFoodTech sector on topics relevant to our AgStart community.
