GEW: Reimagining Waste – The Placer & Circular Economy Possibilities

November 19 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join us for this discussion to look at the circular economy and learn about how various stakeholders play a role in building our future!

During Global Entrepreneurship Week Sacramento 2024, presented by Western Health Advantage, we are excited to bring you a lunch forum looking at Reimagining Waste – The Placer & Circular Economy Possibilities. This event is brought to you in partnership with the Carlsen Center for Innovation & Entrepreneurship, Western Placer Waste Management Authority (WPWMA), and the Sustainability Center at Sacramento State.

At this event, we look forward to building connections in the waste and sustainability industry both amongst faculty and industry partners. We will highlight over lunch, a discussion around how our region can become a hub and leader for the circular economy activities. As we envision this future – with 2028 coming sooner rather than later, it is our time with mandatory mandates taking place due to SB54 (Plastic Pollution Prevention and Packaging Producer Responsibility Act) and the Placer Campus launch to hone in on our ability to establish this circular economy hub.

The discussion will highlight how academia, government, and industry are investing time, resources, and expertise to tackle this space.
