Founded in 2005, CleanStart is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to accelerating the development of clean technology ventures in Northern California. Our mission is to empower entrepreneurs with the knowledge, capital, and connections critical to creating successful new businesses.

About the Project
The “Clean Tech for All” initiative, funded by the City of Sacramento and SMUD, aims to bridge the gap in clean tech accessibility. This project focuses on engaging the Alkali Flat community through a series of workshops that will run from June 2024 to March 2025.
The workshops will:
- Gather community input on desired improvements.
- Connect clean tech entrepreneurs with residents to adapt products for local needs.
- Educate and assist in accessing programs and funds.
- Enhance work skills to participate in the clean tech industry.
