This is a high level, process-based talk targeted at programmers, data scientists/analysts, UX designers & researchers, dev-ops engineers, technical program managers, product managers and anyone else in tech, design or adjacent. You will leave this talk with a strong understanding of how to move past head-down, silo’d approaches to work, and build those links and networks with your colleagues, customers and community you need to succeed.

**Mai Moua Vang** is a UX designer and researcher with a deep focus on bridging connections between people and information by crafting user-centered digital experiences. She’s been in the tech industry since 2021 after transitioning from a successful career supporting and helping students at the University of California as a Financial Aid Specialist. Mai Moua currently works as a UX Designer at NCR Voyix on their Hospitality team.

**Mark Takata** is a 27-year-veteran of the tech industry, with professional experience as a software developer, product manager, project manager, ux designer, and technical writer. He knows over a dozen programming languages and frameworks, and currently serves globally as the Senior Technical Evangelist for Adobe ColdFusion.
