In celebration of International Women’s Day we thought we’d shine the spotlight on some of Sacramento’s female startup founders. The Startup Grind Sacramento event on January 9, featured a panel discussion consisting of some of the graduating 2017 FourthWave cohort. FourthWave is a Sacramento startup program focused on scaling female-led technology companies committed to conscious leadership and inclusion as a path to higher value. Cofounder of FourthWave,Tracy Saville, led the panel discussion that included:
- Cheryl Beninga, FourthWave Co-Founder and FanTag CFO
- Kim Box, Gatekeeper Innovation CEO and President
- Janine Yancey, Emtrain Founder and CEO
- Venita Sivamani, Dermveda Co-Founder and CEO
As I often do, I brought along my portable audio recorder to capture the event. In the audio podcast below you can hear about the challenges and lessons they learned during their first year.
Want to learn more about FourthWave? Innovation Sacramento recently released their most recent video in which the also spotlight the FourthWave program.
