CALpital Connections is a premier regional conference that brings together business leaders and professionals on timely, relevant topics to support the regional business and economy.
This year’s focus is on international business with a panel of local experts who will share their insights on expanding globally, the resources that are available, and how to better anticipate and prepare for challenges that may arise in “going global.”
A hosted reception with catering provided by Fats will precede and follow the panel discussion.

CALpital Connections is hosted by the Berkeley-Haas Alumni Network for Greater Sacramento in partnership with the Northern California World Trade Center.
The highlight of the evening will be a panel of local experts on international business, moderated by Kevin Mather, CEO of the Northern California World Trade Center.
Don Whitaker, who established the first local free trade zone, and Gordon Hinkle, co-founder of the California Center, will share insights into exporting products and services, and the resources available to companies interested in starting to export. Lisa Henslee will share insights into VSP Global’s evaluation process for identifying new international markets, while Drisha Leggitt will explain why her global company Anpac Biomedical selected Sacramento as their US headquarters.
Network with local executives, professionals and UC Berkeley alumni from startups, investors, and regional/global leaders at a hosted reception catered by Fat’s preceding and following the formal program.
