Make no mistake, the City of Sacramento is committed to transforming Sacramento into an innovation hub. They’ve committed millions of dollars to an innovation fund, including approximately 1 million dollars annually to RAILS grants (Rapid Acceleration, Innovation, and Leadership in Sacramento). Their latest project? The Sacramento Urban Technology Lab (SUTL), an initiative of the Mayor’s Office for Innovation and Entrepreneurship to create a “living laboratory” for entrepreneurs, advanced technology businesses, and academic institutions to test, develop, and scale their ideas, products, and services.
To jump start this new initiative, The City of Sacramento, StartupSac, and Sacramento State have teamed up to bring the community, Innovate Sac, an event during Global Entrepreneurship Week to promote the vision SUTL to the Sacramento community.
