Allegiant Battle for Veterans is seeking veterans to attend a focus group discussion about transition needs particularly in the areas of education, employment and entrepreneurship. They are in the process of creating an education to employment or entrepreneurship program and need veteran input. Simply put, they want to make sure they are applying their resources in a way that best serves the veteran community. They want to hear directly from veterans at all phases of transition from military to civilian life.
The goal of this meeting is to discuss the issues that exist today between training and workforce needs; issues relating to the sense of isolation and disconnection as military personnel re-enter civilian society; a discussion of the fragmented services; and a discussion the lack of community with structure and shared experiences.
Food and beverages will be provided.
