Since its launch in September 2016, 1 Million Cups Sacramento has featured an impressive 867 presentations from local founders, innovators, and startups. It has provided a platform for entrepreneurs to gain valuable feedback and make critical connections. Many of our region’s most successful startups—such as Trifecta, which raised $20 million in Series A funding, and The Better Meat Co., which secured a $1.4 million Department of Defense grant—began their journey by pitching at 1 Million Cups.

The morning kicked off with two captivating presentations. Hope Suson Founder and CEO of Ecojoyous shared her journey of opening a sustainable goods store after placing second in the Calling All Dreamers contest. Specializing in eco-friendly and low-waste products, Ecojoyous is making sustainability accessible to the local community. In contrast, Matthew Magno Co Founder and CEO of JAPA reflected on how his company, which began as a simple idea five years ago, has grown into a thriving B2B SaaS company. JAPA’s innovative use of AI and IoT sensors is revolutionizing parking management, making them a leader in smart parking solutions.
