AMA Guest: Diana Gamzina, founder and CEO of Elve Speed

Diana Gamzina is the founder and CEO of Elve, a company dedicated to enhancing wireless ultra-high-speed connectivity in remote and urban areas. At Elve, she revolutionized the manufacturing of millimeter wave power amplifiers, creating high-efficiency, lightweight systems at unprecedented scales. Prior to Elve, Diana was a staff scientist at SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory and a development engineer at UC Davis’s millimeter-wave research group, where she led advanced manufacturing and design programs for high-power RF sources. She holds an M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, has received a U.S. Department of Energy Early Career Research Award, and holds three patents in vacuum electronic device manufacturing. Diana also co-founded the SAGE Journey program to enhance gender diversity in science and engineering.

Elve is a trailblazing company at the forefront of wireless connectivity technology, specializing in the production of millimeter wave amplifiers using advanced materials and manufacturing technologies. By revolutionizing the construction of vacuum electronics, Elve has made it possible to deliver these amplifiers in quantities and at costs significantly beyond what was previously achievable. Their innovative approach not only supports the enhancement of current 5G technologies but also paves the way for the next generation of wireless connectivity. Today, Elve is a leader in integrating advanced materials and additive manufacturing into vacuum electronics, continually pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in the field.
