If you spend any time at the plethora of startup events in the Sacramento region you’ll know that there’s a palpable excitement and buzz about the startup community and innovation in Sacramento.

Coworking spaces are flourishing and popping up all over the region. The calendar is full of startup-related events every week, including Startup Grind, Beer and Geeks, monthly meetups for various developers such as Sacramento Javascript, Code for Sacramento Civic Hack nights, and more. Factor in additional startup-focused events such as Startup Weekends, and hack-a-thons and it starts getting tough to keep track of all the events, resources, and news around the startup and entrepreneurial scene here in Sacramento.

With that in mind, along with the recent shuttering of SARTA in 2015, I hit on the idea of a website dedicated to covering news, events, and resources for the Sacramento startup & innovation community. The result is StartupSac.com.

As a central hub for Sacramento startup & innovation scene information and resources, the StartupSac.com site makes it easier for innovators to connect with each other and helps to foster and grow the startup ecosystem in the region by engaging and connecting thousands of Sacramento region participants.
