It’s the week before Labor Day Weekend and things are pretty laid back in the startup community. Don’t worry — it will get hella busy in September! I’ve included some events from Score and California Capital Development Corp this week. They have a lot of great education programs for small businesses and often that information is also of interest to Startups. So check out what they’re offering below.

Sacramento Wordcamp is releasing the first set of tickets for the October 22-23 all-things-Wordpress event this Thursday, September 1 at 10 am. This event sold out in a day last year. They moved to a bigger venue for 2016 but they still expect to sell out. If you want to go, why wait? Get your $40 ticket this Thursday!

SAVE THE DATE: On September 22, Innovate Your State is hosting the 2nd Annual Civic & Gov Tech Showcase with the City of Sacramento Mayor’s Office for Innovation & Entrepreneurship. It’s free but space is limited so you should RSVP now. They are even providing breakfast and lunch!

Looking for Maker and Design Classes? Check out Hacker Lab’s full calendar of events here. There’s also a new maker space in town, MakerHQ. They also offer classes.

There’s lots of great stuff going on in the tech startup community–check out this week’s Startup Digest for details.  If you’ve organized (or know about) an event we have not included, please submit it here for consideration. And for even more startup information, happenings and resources, visit the StartupSac Website.
