Wow! 50 startup companies have presented at 1 Million Cups Sacramento since it launched in September! This is my favorite program for early stage startups–you need to check it out! 1MC Sac meets every Wednesday from 9-10 am. Each week, two companies present for 6 min each followed by 20 min of Q&A from the audience (mostly other startup founders). If you’re a startup, you should apply! Got questions about it? Send me an email!

Science Matters!

Two global events are coming to Sacramento this month! March for Science is happening around the world on April 22. This non-partisan march will take place in Sacramento as well to encourage our lawmakers to base policy on evidence and logic.  Find out more here.

The NASA Space Apps Challenge hackathon is happening April 29-30 at Hacker Lab. This international event will occur over 48 hours in cities around the world. Coders, scientists, designers, storytellers, makers, builders, technologists, and everyone enthusiastic about space come together to address challenges we face on Earth and in space! This free event is also open to youth. More info.

And now back to our regular programming…
