Hot-Summer-in-Sac-01

Welcome to the Sacramento Startup Digest!

Our Startup Ecosystem doesn’t slow down for the summer! In spite of next week being a holiday week, there’s tons of cool stuff happening.

Into health technology? Consider attending the Aging2.0 Global Startup Search on Thursday evening (admission is only $5!). Eskaton is hosting our local event and I’m proud to report that one of the companies created at last month’s Startup Weekend Health Edition is competing! Way to go PT Track!

Looking for funding? Attend the SBA Loan workshop on Tuesday or the SBIR/STTR Grant Workshop onThursday (3 part workshop).

Looking to gain sales traction? Connectionopolis‘ Launching and Winning New Business on Wednesday morning features a panel of proven business builders including Coco Barnum cofounder of Sacramento-based startup Requested. On Wednesday evening, Social Media Club will take the mystery out of Influencer Marketing.

Looking for Maker and Design Classes? Check out Hacker Lab’s full calendar of events here. Lots of opportunities to learn in both their Midtown and Rocklin locations. And their Summer of IoT program kicks off on Thursday!

Kids already driving you nuts this summer? There are quite a few STEAM-focused camps going on over the next couple of months for 8-18 year olds. Check out Hacker Lab’s offering here and PodPi’s offering here.

The clock is ticking on the application deadline for Founders Academy Startup Accelerator. Applications must be submitted by July 7 to be considered for the program.

Have you nominated your favorite innovator for the 2016 Innovator Award yet? Deadline for nominations is July 22 so GET BUSY!

There’s lots of great stuff going on in the tech startup community–check out the details below. If you’ve organized (or know about) an event we have not included, please submit it here for consideration.
