The University of California, Davis World Food Center has partnered with Larta Institute to launch the Ag Innovation Showcase, California’s first such event, at the UC-Davis Conference Center May 8-9.

The Food & Ag Innovation Showcase will feature the most promising Ag startups and research projects pursuing solutions in high value, nutritious agriculture and food from across the globe.

The Showcase will leverage world-class research in crop, animal and food science at UC Davis alongside Larta’s high-impact programs that energize ideas and accelerate the path of innovation to the marketplace. Rising entrepreneurs from startup companies will join with agtech investors from this booming sector and researchers at the forefront of innovation.

Cutting edge start-ups and research projects across Ag-bio, renewable energy, sustainable materials, food production, animal health and farming technologies are invited to apply to present their business / technology at the 2017 Food & Ag Innovation Showcase (FAIS) on May 8-9, 2017 at the Mondavi Center at UC Davis.

Themes of the 2017 event include:

  • Automation and robotics for fresh produce, fruits and nuts
  • Food safety from production to product
  • Boosting nutrition and sensory value in foods
  • Innovation in the livestock and dairy sectors

Applications to present at the 2017 Food & Ag Innovation Showcase are open now through April 1st. Innovations that fall within the themes of the 2017 event are preferred, but all are welcome to apply.
