1 Million Cups Sacramento, which normally meets weekly at Impact Venture Capital in Downtown Sacramento, takes a road trip to a new location on the last Wednesday of each month. For October 25, they’re heading to Valley Extends, an innovation and coworking center in McClellan Park that accelerates startups and connects corporations to exponential technologies, business models, and entrepreneurs.

The two presenting companies both work out of Valley Extends. KickFactory helps brands engage customers before they search. Their AI and Rapid Response Team allow brands to reach out to individual customers at scale, driving clicks, influence and sales. Venia Lighting is focused on developing the next generation of IoT and connected lighting systems for cities and businesses. Each presentation lasts 6 minutes followed by 20 minutes of feedback and Q&A with the audience.

1 Million Cups is a free, national program designed to educate, engage, and connect entrepreneurs. Developed by the Kauffman Foundation, the program is based on the notion that entrepreneurs discover solutions and network over a million cups of coffee. The are over 150 chapters in cities around the nation.

The Sacramento chapter launched last year and meets every Wednesday morning. The audience is largely made up of early stage startup founders. In the last year, over 100 startup companies have presented. Want to apply to present at a future 1 Million Cups? Apply here.
